Good news! This year, despite the adversities that we have experienced as a country, especially in the tourism sector, Peru is nominated in 16 South American categories for the World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of tourism”.
Undoubtedly, our wonder Machu Picchu is once again nominated for Best Tourist Attraction, a category that it won last year, while our capital city is nominated for Best Business Destination, Best Urban Escape Destination, among other categories.

The WTAs annually reward the tourist destinations that have marked excellence in the last year and that are considered a world reference in the tourism industry. This is its 28th edition and Peru is once again expected to be awarded numerous times, as has happened in previous editions. It is considered the “Oscar of Tourism” by the prestigious newspaper “The Wall Street Journal”.
